Just as I had posted 11gR2 RAC Posts in 2014 (listed here), I plan to post some 12cR1 RAC (GI, ASM) posts over the next few weeks.
Here's my Grid Infrastructure up and running. (Yes, I used racattack for this first 12cR1 RAC setup.)
I hope to run a few cycles of setups, switching to different node names, IPs, DiskGroup names etc over the next few weeks).

Hi Mr Hemant,
I will be doing an ORACLE critical patch update on an Oracle 12c RAC instance.
Must I shutdown everything such as (listener, database) before I proceed with the patching?

Most CPUs would also be patching the binaries. So, yes, you need to shutdown the database and listener. Such instructions should be in the README file accompanying the patch.
